I take it back, black really does look best. Seldom does an old school classic come around for a full detail and coating, but in today is Veasna’s 560SEL which will be used in his wedding in two weeks, so getting the paint dialed in as good as possible was the goal for today. The car had been repainted before, and at certain areas there wasn’t much paint to really play with, so polishing at all areas where the paint was <2um was kept to a minimal. Nevertheless, the car came out looking much better than I originally hoped for, given that the paint thickness measured from between 2um all the way up to 100um. I was concerned that it would be difficult to get uniform levelness on the paint, but some substantial improvements were made! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves from here.

Mercedes’ Arctic White has always been one of my favorite whites; simply pure, crisp, and clean. What makes it look even better though? Some Opticoat Pro!

Optimum Opti-coat Pro  application is the strongest protection available for a vehicle’s clear coat. Unlike waxes and sealants, Opti-Coat Pro…

Black looks best when done right! This model year E series was one of my dream cars (within reason) in the recent years (Does the logo look familiar? hehe) Ranjeet scored one heck of a deal on this car, having only 4k miles on the odometer when he bought it. Since then, he’s logged a little over 10k miles on it, and also waited nearly two months before I was able to fit him into my schedule for a proper pampering. He’ll be one of the wettest looking E350’s on the streets for many years to come! Coated with Opticoat Pro, and topped with Glosscoat for added slickness and glossiness!

In today was Simone’s green CL550 which had some much needed TLC. The 7-years of ownership showed, and the goal of today’s detail was to bring the car back to a presentable shape before Opticoating it. I suggested that a single step polish be enough to truly deepen the gloss and shine, bringing some life back to the paint. As suspected, the paint felt rough, paint looked dull, but is looking much better now after a good polish. A generous layer of Opticoat Pro was added to provide the car with many many more years of protection.
