Thanks for making the trek all the way from Santa Cruz, Kenneth! In today is his new Model S ; quite an upgrade from ole’ caravan. This car sits lives in the wild, and so we opted for the superior coating Opticoat Pro+ for many many years of protection.

2016 Tesla Model S (Grey)

No Comments, Detailing Samples, by Johnny.

It’s been a while since a grey Tesla rolled around. Probably one of the lowest maintenance colors (not that it repels dust, it just hides it better). Certainly a good choice for a daily driver or one who is not as religious about their car washes. Opticoat Pro was applied to this one, which will make maintenance washes that much easier for many years to come!

I say black looks best a lot, but to be honest white just might look better than black, and it comes with “less” maintenance. In today is Ronald’s new Model S. We went for a full debadge with a front license plate removal for a cleaner look. I’ll have to agree that Tesla should’ve just left the badges off!

Does anyone know where to find a 5 node security socket? I’ve been searching and searching and searching for a socket/bit head that fits Tesla’s security front license plate bolt, but have not had no luck. A 9/16″ 12-pt socket works with a little wiggle, but life would be so much easier if they made key for it, or used a standard bolt. Anyways, in today is Arpan’s new white Model S for the new car prep with Opticoat Pro+. I’ve mentioned this many times before, but I’ll say it again – I love working on Model S’s due to their sleak and smooth lines making it quite easy to polish!

Aside from the multicoat red, the latest shade of blue by Tesla is probably the best looking color available.. especially with a layer of Opticoat Pro! Overall, Nuwan’s new Tesla was in pretty good shape; some very minor swirling that came right off, and just one particular sanding spot left over from the factory.
